Heart Railing
We were asked to build a railing for a residence owned by a Justice of the Peace. Since she has helped many happy couples marry over the years, we decided that a heart motif would be a fitting decoration to welcome visitors to her home. Each “S” scroll for this project was hand-forged to give it a “whimsical” feeling, and the handrail was built to follow the existing walkway.
Hot-formed volutes greet visitors at the sidewalk.

Since the walkway consisted of thin stone slabs, new footings were dug for each railing post.
