Attleboro Public Library Railings
Renovations and updates to the Attleboro Public Library took place in 2021. ADA compliance required the installation of two new exterior hand railings and the extension of three existing interior railings. The interior railings were extracted, extensions were designed and added, and the railings were reinstalled in their original locations.
We built new brass railings to compliment the existing ballcap central rail.
The brass was left unfinished so that will age and patina in a similar manner to the ballcap rail.

We removed the existing railing, salvaged the volutes, rebuilt the railing to code-compliant height, and reinstalled it.

Our solution was to keep the posts in their orignal locations, but add a decorative and structural brace to support the new section of rail. Just as we did with the longer interior railing, we salvaged the original volutes and re-used them.
